Our squadron
2491 Lyneham squadron is made up of 20 to 25 cadets, with 7 NCOs, all ranging between 13 and 18 yrs old. Many of us have been with the squadron for several years although we are constantly bringing up newer cadets and have some at every stage of development.
We are currently based at RAF Lyneham where we have our own buildings as well as access to many other facilities. In our buildings we have a range of classrooms and project rooms, a big store for our uniform, a parade hall, even though we like to do as many outside as we can, offices for the staff and cadet NCO's and a building dedicated to our canteen, the best bit! Additionally, we have the use of the station gymnasium once a month where we do our sports!
In the summer we do more or less everything outside, being in a secluded area of the base, but there are certaintly adequate rooms to accommadate all of our projects, exercises and parades inside if needs be.
